A smile grows on my face

A smile that isn’t often seen

A smile that’s buried by worries

When you’re around me

I appreciate our conversations

Our writing sessions together

Even if misunderstood

The reason that I write these

To express myself without tears

To show you a smile that is real

Everytime you are around me

A smile begins to blossom

You’ve been there at my lowest

And I thank God for you
