Ending Cycle, Less, & Not for Us
Christina Morency
“Ending Cycle”
Life.
At one point you knew someone who was involved.
Once a part of your life but now as you think to yourself years later only their existence
remains.
Life.
Yes, people grow apart.
Yes, nothing is forever.
Though they may seem so.
Life.
Change happens. Even if you’re ready or not.
Unexpectedly and Unacceptably.
Life.
Imagined for it to be or will you just be.
“Less”
Lifeless she was.
Never wanting her life to have an ending.
Lifeless she was.
Wanting to live but could not figure out how to.
Lifeless she was.
Surrounded by people, things that were of the color green.
Being in nature, nothing could fulfill anything she wanted.
Lifeless she was. Life less.
Lived less.
“Not for us”
Trust none.
Act accordingly.
Be careful of your movements.
For the justice system has always failed.
Instead of prevailing.
Target on our bones.
Never for us.
Mostly against us.
Only hope in our eyes.
Justice prevails.
Justice prevails. 9/24/24
