Your tears

 Jennifer Searles

I have heard your silent prayers loud and clear

your moans and groans

that huddle together singing their songs

I have known of each moment

that you have reached out for comfort

blocking the dead words from the enemy

that pierce your soul

I am on my way to rescue you with my truth.

I have seen those scars

hidden by your painted mask

the false smiles that surface to appease the crowd

I am on my way to revitalize you with my touch

I have seen your fear of isolation

you carried on your weary shoulders

I am on my way to reposition you with my strength

I have seen you numbered your afflictions

I am on my way to secure you with my grace

I have placed in you a destiny that no man can take

a future that demonstrates my power and love

I have described you as my own

I am on my way to reestablish your heart

to dream again, to act, to believe

I am on my way to flood the sun and the earth

to bring you a new day

I am on my way to you.
