On April 20, 2023 The Center for Black literature at Medgar Evers College in partnership with the Brooklyn Public Library and in collaboration with African Voices celebrated Poetry Month with "A Poetic Read Out". The Crown Heights Review had the pleasure of launching our 4th issue at this event that featured performances by some of this issue’s contributors alongside special guest poets Youth Poet Laureate Stephanie Pacheco, Jennifer Falu, and Derick Cross.
The Center for Black Literature hosted their annual Wild Seeds Retreat for Writers of Color from July 17 - 22, 2023 at SUNY Polytech located in Utica, New York.
